More recreation on and along the waterfront

The special natural environment along the Scheldt and its tributaries offers unique recreational opportunities. We invest heavily in this to make the rivers and their surroundings even more attractive to cyclists, walkers and other recreational visitors.

More sport and relaxation

For those who like to experience nature, we are developing log paths and learning trails, themed and listening walks, experience parks and picnic benches … Sports enthusiasts love the new mountain bike routes, bridle paths, kayaking and water-skiing, angling ponds … There really is something for everyone.

A wide range of choices thanks to our partnerships

Thanks to our collaboration with cities, municipalities, provinces, Natuurpunt, tourist and sports organisations, the range of recreational activities continues to expand. Farmers have also contributed to this with B&Bs, farm shops selling artisanal local produce and guided farm visits.

A look behind the scenes at the information booth

While the works are in still in progress, many project areas have a dedicated information booth where you can find out more about the project. In some places, the information booth also includes a mobile exhibition area.
